For most people their first network marketing company will choose them. The reason I says this is because people don't usually wake up one morning and decide to join a network marketing business. Many people will buy into the concept of leverage while not really taking into account all the variables that a company has available to help you with leverage. You may have choose a company with a great system but no real commission or product behind it. Or you may have signed on with a company with a great system, a great comp plan, but a lousy product. You will see many companies with excellent products but are struggling due to a poor system and lack of money in the comp plan. There are many variables to consider when looking into network marketing. Many of these variables go beyond an opportunities management, product, systems, and compensation. Some of these variables include understanding what timing and positioning really means.

Very few people make it big in their first network marketing venture, that is why it's so important to do research and learn about the industry before signing onto a network marketing / home based business. Learn about timing and positioning and what it really means. Once you have done your research you can choose your company and sponsor. Don't make the mistake of settling for the first thing that comes along because it's sounded good and you took a liking to the person who presented the opportunity to you. Your decision on a home based business needs to be based on sound business principles more than emotional and personal appeal.
